There is on-site parking and lots of street parking. We are also a short walk from Wollongong train station and a short walk from bus stops.

We are a church of multiple cultures and multiple ages, so everyone is welcome! We have a children’s program in our two morning English services for children between the ages of 4-14. On top of this program we also have a kids corner for toddlers and a baby room beside the main auditorium.

  • What to expect

If it’s your first time at Wollongong Baptist Church, we recommend you come a little early, so that you will have time to find a car park as well as a seat before the service begins. As you walk through our doors our welcomers will greet you, give you a bulletin and will happily answer any questions you have.

At Wollongong Baptist Church we believe it’s important that we respond to God with adoration and action. For this reason, we love to sing praises to God and come before him in prayer. We usually sing three to four songs each service. With both the singing and praying you are more than welcome to sing and pray with us or just listen.

At Wollongong Baptist Church we love the Bible, because we believe that the Bible is the word of God. For that reason at every church service we read out the Bible before we have a sermon based on the Bible. Usually the preacher is one of our pastors who does his best to explain the Bible in an engaging and relevant way. The sermons vary in length but most go for about 30 minutes.

We are a church that desires to love children like Jesus loves children. That’s why we have a children’s programme at our two English morning services for children between the ages of 4-14. There is also a kid’s corner for toddlers aged 1-4, and a baby room outside the main auditorium. Children are more than welcome at our 6pm service but heads up we don’t run a children’s program at this service.

On Sunday mornings our two morning services meet together at 10am for a combined morning tea. This morning tea is after the 8:30am service and before the 10:30am service. At morning tea there is tasty food, barista quality coffee and a multi-aged and multicultural community to connect with.

On Sunday evening there is either dinner or supper after the 6pm service. Every fortnight we have dinner together as a church, and every other fortnight we have supper and go into Wollongong city to eat dinner.
