WBC Kids - Wollongong Baptist Church

Kids are important to God, so they are important to us!

At Wollongong Baptist, we aim to encourage the youngest members of our church to grow in their understanding of the Bible and their love of Jesus Christ.

Kids church is a place where kids enjoy coming along to engage with a wide variety of activities centred upon the Bible.

Ages 3-5

Mini Zone

Mini Zone is a group for preschoolers. Children learn from the bible through stories, games, craft and songs. Mini Zone meet in one of our upstairs rooms. Parents will need to sign in their children at the start and collect them from the room at the end of the service to sign them out. A morning tea of fruit and crackers is provided for the children.

Kindy - Yr 2

Kids Zone

Kids Zone is a group for kids in Kindy- Year 2. Children learn from the bible, often following the Sunday sermon series, through games, stories, craft, memory verse and songs. Kids Zone meets in our kids room. Parents will need to sign in their children at the start and collect them from the room at the end of the service to sign them out. Morning tea is provided for the children.

Yr 3 - Yr 5

Kids Zone Plus

Kids Corner

For children who are 1 – 3 years old. This is a fun space for children to play and build friendships. There is no formal teaching time. Parents are welcome to stay. A morning tea of fruit and crackers is provided for the children.

Parents Room

We have a parents room with comfy chairs for the adults, toys for the kids and audio of the service on a TV, with a view into the auditorium. This room has a change table and there is a second change table in the disabled toilets.

What about teens?

Teen Zone is a group for kids in Year 6-8. In this group the youth participate in an informal group discussion centred on God’s word and a specific bible passage, while they build relationships and eat some food. Teen Zone meets in one of our upstairs rooms. Parents do not need to sign in or sign out their children, instead the youth will come to the foyer and join morning tea after the service has finished.

A Safe Church

God loves all people, which means He wants what’s best for them. And we do too! So this means that as a community we strive to make church a safe place, especially for kids.

All staff and volunteers who work with kids and teens are required to comply with Safe Ministry guidelines and regulations.
