We want to help raise the next generation of ministry leaders
Here at Wollongong Baptist Church we want to play our part in raising up the next generation of ministry leaders. Some of these leaders will be equipped to serve and benefit Wollongong, many will go on to lead and grow other gospel-minded churches and ministries to the ends of the earth.
We want to be generous to global mission so as to best model God’s heart for all people, not just ourselves. As part of this mission, we seek to train men and women in MTS apprenticeships. MTS stands for Ministry Training Strategy. It is a two year apprenticeship where our apprentices get to experience hands-on training for future gospel ministry. To find out more about the hundreds of people undertaking MTS apprenticeships around the country click here.
Why support ministry apprentices?
We love training up and sending gospel workers into the world. But they need your support.
These ministry apprentices have made a big decision to have a go at gospel ministry. WBC covers part of their wages, but they also need people like you to support them prayerfully and financially. Can you help one of these gospel workers as they prepare for a lifetime of following Jesus?
Wondering if an apprenticeship is for you?
Everyone who knows and loves the Lord Jesus, and cares about his people and his kingdom should consider undertaking an apprenticeship in Word ministry.
You will get the opportunity to serve in different ministries to different kinds of people, discover your gifts, try your hand at a number of ministries, initiate a ‘new ministry,’ grapple with theological and ministry issues, and work on your character.
If you would like to know more, consider coming to the MTS Recruit conference in October each year, speak to a staff member, or simply email us at admin@wollongongbaptist.org
